If you are in sales but you do not like people you will be doomed. Just thinking about  your own pocket and what is in it for you will not make you succesful or happy.

Sales is about your customer not about you.

That is why a sales person has 2 ears and one mouth.

Do not blabber about yourself all the time.

If a client tells you something, do not reply with a similar experience that you have had, it does not build confidence in you.

Ask questions about your customers experience. That will make a friend.

Remember how you feel if you tell someone that you have a pain in your foot and they say "I also had a pain in my foot or neck some time ago?"
